I am currently pursuing a master of environmental management with a concentration in coastal environmental management at the Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University. My interests, though constantly evolving, lie primarily within the field of of integrated coastal management. I am especially interested in issues related to climate change, national security, and human rights. More specifically, I hope to one day assist small island developing states in their efforts to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change as well as contribute to the development of legal protections under international law for displaced climate refugees. I am an avid scuba diver, sailor, and advocate for the sustainable use of our beautiful oceans and coasts. Above all though, I wish I was a fish!
