The adventure begins…

My adventure in the jungles of central Africa began as most journeys rather un-romantically must these days, leaving an airport. After eleven hours and change of driving we arrived at Ipassa, the field station which is to be the closest thing to home when I’m not camping over the next two months in the golden hour before sunset.
