I am currently a student at the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University pursuing a Master in Environmental Management degree with specialization in coastal environmental management. Having grown up as the daughter of a marine biologist, I have always enjoyed exploring the beaches and coastal habitats where we lived and visited. These experiences instilled in me a desire to protect and conserve these important and interesting ecosystems. More recently, I have become interested in how climate change and sea level rise will impact these regions, and what we can do to adapt to these changes. In the future, I hope to help communities and states work to protect, conserve, and restore coastal habitats so that people can continue to enjoys these beautiful places for years to come.
