In collaboration with the Peruvian non-profit Proyecto Mono Tocon, I plan to assist their community-based conservation work by conducting an integrative analysis in order to prioritize conservation areas for the critically endangered San Martin titi monkey (C. oenanthe).  This summer, I will be conducting a land cover verification for a habitat quality map I have been working on via satellite imagery.  I also intend to collect survey data from local communities and mining interests in the area.  The goal is to model connectivity between suitable habitat patches in order to generate more appropriate management strategies taking both social and biological metrics into account.
