One of my favorite parts of living somewhere new is experiencing the change of seasons. In Colorado, fall erupts in beautiful gold and yellow hues, leaves slowly fluttering to the ground until the first snow knocks them off completely. In Durham, the air becomes noticeably less humid and morning commutes slightly cooler, the trees on campus similarly turning vibrant shades of orange and red. On the coast, changes are more subtle – but their presence nonetheless marks the gradual fade from summer to fall.
