My name is Lukas Gschwandtner and I am a junior undergraduate student working on my B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy and a minor in History. Growing up in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, sparked my interests in marine conservation and environmental policy which I have carried into my studies at Duke. My interests include cooking, backpacking, and especially SCUBA diving. Some of the work I have done has been with sea turtle rehabilitation in Dalyan, Turkey, as well as with NGOs in Washington D.C. with the United Nations Panel on Climate Change. I am currently living in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I am focusing on climate change and its effects on the arctic.
