Jen's MEM Journey

Going Back to Cali
by Jennifer Weiss -- March 5th, 2011

Forget Mardi Gras, the beaches, or skiing. I’m heading to San Francisco over Spring Break!

WOW!  The first part of the semester just flew by.  And, believe it or not, two of my classes are already over.  Farewell Energy & Environment and Sustainable Business Modeling – I shall miss thee!

On to greener (or at least more renewable) pastures …. today I  head for San Francisco for a 4 day Clean Energy class field trip (yes, they still call these field trips even though they hardly resemble my daughter’s 1/2 day trip to the museum).

At 6 am this morning, I’ll be on a flight bound for SFO where I’ll embark upon a clean energy journey with 26 of my Energy & Environment classmates.  Our trip includes visits to NextEra, EnerNOC, Google.org, Better Place, PG&E, Bloom Energy, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, SunPower, and OneSun.

Oh yeah, and I might even get to see some of San Francisco??

Fellow blogger Kat Fraser and I will be sending out daily reports from our Clean Energy 2011 Blog.

Come join us on our adventure!
