My name is Seth Sykora-Bodie and I am a marine conservation ecologist, human geographer, and political scientist working towards a Ph.D. in Marine Science & Conservation at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment in North Carolina. My studies, under the guidance of Dr. Lisa Campbell and Dr. Andy Read, focus on conservation planning, high seas governance (mainly in the Antarctic) and the conservation of whales, dolphins and sea turtles. Previously, I completed Masters of Public Policy (M.P.P.) and Sustainable Development & Conservation Biology (M.Sc.) at the University of Maryland, where much of my graduate work focused on the impacts of climate change to small islands, coastal communities and protected species.
